SCCM 2012: Right Click Tools

An add-on tools that you can’t miss. Tested and working fine in SCCM 2012 Console. COOL !

Just run Right Click Tools Install.cmd, then close and reopen Configuration Manager Console and enjoy it!

When you right click on a device, you will see three new menus.

Client Actions:

  •      Branch Distribution Point Maintenance Task
  •      Discovery Data Collection Cycle
  •      Hardware Inventory Cycle
  •      Machine Policy Retrieval and Evaluation Cycle
  •      Software Inventory Cycle
  •      Software Metering Usage Report Cycle
  •      Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle
  •      Software Updates Scan Cycle
  •      Windows Installer Source List Update Cycle

Client Tools:

  •      Restart SMS Agent Host Service
  •      Generate new SCCM GUID
  •      Rerun Advertisement
  •      Open Client Log File Folder
  •      Open Client Installation Log File Folder
  •      Assign Client to Another Site
  •      Change Cache Size
  •      Uninstall SCCM Client

Console Tools:

  •      Manage Computer
  •      Ping System
  •      Wake On LAN
  •      RDP to Console
  •      System Info
  •      Show Collections
  •      Running Processes
  •      Computer Management
  •      Connect to C$
  •      Interactive Command Prompt
  •      Reboot System
  •      Schedule Reboot

    When running the tools against a Win 7 computer, I get "access denied".

    Any chance of updating this with Houchin's 'Add systems to collection' hta? That's what I'm missing most.

    By default, SCCM 2012 already integrated with add device to new/existing collection. You can find with right click the system/device,Select first option: Add Selected Items.

      The 'Add systems to collection' HTA is better though. With both the 'Add Selected Items' and the 'Add Resources' you have to find the resources you want to add. With the HTA, you can generate a list (from a report, etc) and copy and paste them into the HTA.

      I agree with Randall!!! This was incredibly useful in the 2007 right-click tools, but has now been removed... :-(
