During the SCCM 2012 deployment, sometime the progress was delayed due to duplicate DNS record.
To do a housekeeping of DNS, we need to enable aging and scavenging for the DNS server.

Applies To: Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2
- To open DNS Manager, click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then click DNS.
- In the DNS console tree, right-click the applicable DNS server, and then click Properties.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Select the Enable automatic scavenging of stale records check box.
- To adjust the Scavenging period, in the drop-down list, select an interval in either hours or days, and then type a number in the text box
- Click OK.
